Mayor Bloomberg & the 2010 Census
On March 24th 2010 then Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, visited Cypress Hills-Fulton St. Senior Center with a contingent of his staff, the press/media to make a public presentation in the ballroom. This was followed by a series of photo-ops, a brief tour and a closed Q&A session.
The mayor and his staff were impressed with the center and commented that Cypress Center was the best senior center they had ever seen.

2009 Special Performances Series
On June 15th 2009th Special performances, sponsored by then Councilman Erik Martin Dilan and The Brooklyn Arts Council, started a run at the center. The series kicked off with a rousing concert by the Dixie Rascals in the ballroom, and continued with a variety of performers offering entertainment from a wide variety of artistic influence. The lineup of performances included Dixieland Jazz, Korean Dance, Andean Music, African Music & Dance, Modern Percussion Music, Polynesian Dance and Chinese Theatre performances. Audience participation was part of most of the events.

Hope's Revenge: The Movie
On and around March 24, 2012. Jurukan Productions filmed "Hope's Revenge" here at the center. This was the second installment of the story which began with "Noches De Amor: La Detective". "Hope's Revenge" was premiered at the Linden Multiplex theaters on September 6th. Many of our seniors and staff participated in the production of the film. Presented here is the full movie 28:07 long. Written,Produced and Directed by Ruben Dario Cruz. Enjoy!
