Programs & Activities

• We serve nutritious lunches to our attending members every day. Our kitchen staff prides itself on providing wholesome, tasty meals, prepared in a well equipped cooking facility.

• Computer Lab is open for our members Monday-Friday between 1 and 3 pm for those interested in browsing the Internet, checking email, word processing and other computer activities. Help is available for newbies to learn and to troubleshoot your problems at certain times, check the schedule to find out when.

• Representatives from Healthfirst NYC, and special guest speakers are frequent guests at the center for informative and beneficial presentations on topics germane to the senior community.

• The pool room is available and open to use every day. Members can socialize and relax in a low-key environment over a few games of pool. It's a wonderful way to pass the time with friends.

• Bingo is available every Monday and Thursday afternoon with additional games at other times during the week. If you love bingo you'll love coming to the center to play.

•  Our Exercise room comes complete with treadmills, stair climbers, and other exercise equipment. There are exercise classes with our trainer, and a massage therapist available at scheduled times.

• In the ceramics workshop our members create decorative ceramic masterpieces of their own. Finished pieces are also for sale. To find out more click on the link to the ceramics class page.

• You want parties? We have them! Each month there is a birthday party for those celebrating a birthday in that month. Every month also has its special theme party; Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day etc.

• Young performers come to the center to entertain the members. Choral groups, Dancers, and other performers from local schools display their talents and interact with the seniors, giving everyone a pleasant diversion.

• Frequent special trips to Atlantic City and other destinations, An annual trip to Sunken Meadows Park in the summer, swimming at the Y, Arts and Crafts, Crochet, Knitting, Oil Painting, Sewing, Needlepoint, Cards and Dominoes games.

• Thursday and Friday afternoons its definitely time to party. Thursdays are karaoke party days. Step up to the mike and belt out some of your favorites. Fridays the ballroom becomes discotheque with DJ Little Josh "spinning the platters" for a weekly party time to end the week with.
